Life throws pain, people, experiences, relationships, trials, and joys in our path. We are carrying our own baggage that impacts how we act, interact, and feel. The journey is rarely straightforward. We can allow our experiences to define us, or fight so hard to be something other than what we are. I believe that peace is found when we accept the complexity of our experiences, and focus on growth in alignment with what matters most to us.
I believe in the power of human potential and the innate ability we all have to grow, heal, and transform. Even when answers feel buried or out of reach, they’re within us. My role as your therapist is to help you reconnect with yourself and rediscover what truly matters to you.
I’m Gayle and I am glad you are here.
Welcome to A Braver Space
Why work with me?
When we work together, you can expect a warm, inquisitive, and collaborative space. I’ll meet you where you are with compassion, curiosity, and the belief that real change happens when we face hard truths.
Here’s what therapy with me feels like:
A Safe Space to Explore: You’ll feel supported, heard, and understood as we explore the deeper layers of your story.
Honest and Brave Conversations: Together, we’ll uncover patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped your life.
Support to Do the Work: I’ll guide and challenge you in ways that feel empowering, so you can step into the growth you’re ready for.
So you really want to to know more about me?
The Personal
I’m originally from Scotland, though after living in a handful of different countries, my accent has become a bit of a mystery – even to me. Depending on the day (and the vowel), you might hear hints of British, a touch of somewhere else entirely, or just a gentle, “Wait, where are you from?”
I have a habit of diving into projects, signing up for too many trainings, buying houseplants I’m constantly apologizing to, keeping 20 tabs open at once, and starting more books than anyone realistically has time for. It’s not disorganization – it’s an ecosystem of good intentions.
Outside of work, I love to travel, eat my way through new places, and spend time with the people I care about. I have a soft spot for dry humor, existential questions, and trying to figure stuff out.
Therapy with me isn’t about perfect answers or silver linings. It’s about getting honest, getting curious, and learning to live with your contradictions. Ideally with a bit of self-compassion – and just the right amount of side-eye.
The Professional
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity and honesty. I draw from a blend of EMDR, parts work, ACT, attachment theory, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and more. While each has its value, I’m guided less by the method and more by what actually resonates and works for you.
